Identifying Features: Medium-sized warbler, similar size to a great tit. The male has a grey head, a white throat and a brown back, and is buff underneath.

What to feed: Occasionally whitethroats will visit a garden to nest in brambles or nettle patches or to feed off fruit bushes
Nesting: Whitethroats build nests out of twigs and roots and the females then decide which to take.
Where to see: They can be found over most of the UK in any suitable habitat in summer.
